SFC Pla,

Did you get your reservation yet? I'm set for this class date.
Maybe other future classmates will turn up as well!

I just got my reservation about 2 weeks ago. I know of another SM that will be coming to this date as well, he is waiting on his reservation. I will share this with him. I hope to see more members join here, we can share knowledge and hopefully be better prepared for the course.

Hello I will be attending this class. I've already received my attrs reservation. I am an in service candidate. Out of curiosity how many females do we have? It would be great to already have a battle buddy!

Welcome to the thread, congratulations on selection and the reservation.

Anything special y'all doing to prep? Ive been doing a weekly APFT and running 12-15 miles a week to condition my legs to prevent injury.

I have an LT in my unit who just got done and said the new commandant has changed some things up, released runs are gone and emphasis on the FTX and squad lanes are more the focus, and branching has been moved to week 8!!

Other than that just trying to get ready, 6 weeks and counting! I've been running, swimming, and rucking, as well as studying the required information from the most current SOP, see everyone soon!

I'm sure our bodies will appreciate it but overall, I'm not sure that getting rid of release runs is a good thing. I'm kinda wary about getting in at a time when standards seem to be lowered. I don't know, I am not in the military yet and maybe some good will come of this.

Have you found SOP's more recent than the one from 2014?

Do you know what they call the 2LT that graduated from the easiest OCS class ever? Lieutenant.

No one will care how hard your OCS class was. Just like no one will care how hard your basic training class was. Within a few years most differences between prior service/non-prior service and USMA/ROTC/OCS officers (and any other variables) completely disappear. Take care of your own physical fitness, focus on being a good officer when you commission, and drive on.

I can swing by their SD and ask but chances are I'll be referred back to their website.

Hello group,

I'm a SGT on active duty. I've been in the Service since 1 Jan 2013. I was selected on the May 2016 board while deployed to Germany, and had to get a medical waiver approved after returning to home station. That happened about a week ago and they slotted me for this class. I'm looking forward to meeting all of you and seeing everyone succeed.

I have four sets of UCPs that I'm needing to get rid of because they are too small for me and taking up space. I haven't worn them in years and they're in excellent condition. Before I take them to Goodwill, I'll offer them to anyone who's interested in having them, just PM me with your info and I'll bring them with me to OCS. They might be useful for combatives if nothing else. They're size Small Regular.

Has anyone gotten any sort of correspondence from the school house such as a welcome letter? Only thing I've gotten this far has been my ATTRS reservation email.

3 weeks until we start!!

It's been a while since I went through. But in my class there was some Day Zero activity on Sunday before the official Day 1 on Monday. Room assignments, linen issue, packing list inspection, etc. The people that showed up at like 17:00 still got in but had to do some catch up. No idea if that's still the case. Just food for thought.
